Winter Training Fun (Visiting Ben's Old Man)

Well as essentially Christmas time for bikers arrives, thus we spend way too much money on parts promising to to be 3 grams lighter and make us atleast 7% faster, it was time to actually get back out on the bike.  Last Saturday, Eric, Ben, Steve, and I headed out from Steve's house for a ride down the side roads.  It was an excellent time and every teammate looks to be in great shape for the season.  Not only does fitness seem high, but everybody is so dam excited about the new season together great things will surely come.

I of course was the only one to crash, which is expected.  Right after Ben and I discussed how any wrong turn on the ice covered side road could cause a crash I tried to bunny hop a small snow drift.  Bad idea.  Luckily we were going fast enough I basically fell over and slid down the road on my side.  Quite uneventful, but expected.

We left Steve's house (Belding) and headed to Greenville up around more lakes than I can remember.  We then were able to stop and see Ben's Dad, where offerings of beer and fresh oven ready pizza were offerred.  Eric also was able to pick up some K-mart bags for his feet.  We then headed back and toured Belding, which is a cool looking town.  Then general consensus was to call it a day and head back to Steve's to get warmed up.
