d2Labs Business Card

Designing our cards was interesting, we decided to be open and try to not conform to the standards.  We ended up with a two-sided card of our logo on black for the front and the abstract design on orange for the back.  To set it all off we had them printed on silk card stock which gives them a matte look and soft to the touch.  The end result was a contemporary yet elegant look.  We continue to get compliments on our cards when they get handed out.

Fun Home Brew Beverage Label

A client came to us for a funny home brew beverage label as a gift to their significant other. We were given the theme and tasked with thinking outside the box for the rest. The final result was a functional yet fun and energetic design. We have functional elements in the label with the brew on date section and warning text; and fun elements like the description text and illustrations.

Cycling Apparel

Since d2Labs started a cycling team, we took on the endeavor of creating all the apparel for the team. The jersey design started with a copious amount of research on other cycling teams' jerseys and colors. We ended up with the baby blue, black, and orange color scheme since it was unique, and the baby blue and black contrasted each other nicely. The large '2' for the team's logo came from our logo, only we applied a different brush stroke to give it a funky twist. After the jerseys started to get noticed and the team was getting requests for jerseys, they made a decision to get some t-shirts produced.  We teamed up with a local clothing reseller to screen print on a shirt but the design had to be heavily modified to support our sponsors and fit a two-color printing process.  The other interesting thing about the t-shirts is the material they are made from, we wanted to give a positive influence on our environment and give our fans something they would treasure. That is why we chose to go with a 70% bamboo shirt supplied by Clothing Matters located here in Grand Rapids, MI.  The two final products get a lot of attention and most people comment on how well they look.
